The rain: Its coming, heralded by flashes of thunder. Its presence;so overwhelmingly rapturous leaving my spine to shudder on my bamboo bed, blowing out the orange flame of my hurricane lamp with strong wind, leaving my cold limbs wrapped in mother’s torn wrapper. It sings a thousand symphony outside our hut yet all dancers have ran for shelter, who dare dance when it sings loudest?who?not even our king! The noblest who tried two moons ago rest hours later at the bottom of the great river.I humbly hail your majesty ,rain! Oh rain supreme!
